This bill amends the Retirement and Social Security Law to authorize state university police, regional state park police, and detective investigators for the office of the attorney general to receive additional pension credit for previous service. Members can receive up to five years of additional pension credit, equal to one-sixtieth of their final average salary. To obtain this credit, members must pay a sum equal to the product of the number of years of service being claimed and three percent of their compensation earned during the twelve months preceding their application.
