Allows veterans to fish for free in New York state parks.
This bill amends the parks, recreation, and historic preservation law to allow veterans of the United States armed forces to fish for free in state parks under the jurisdiction of a state agency. The bill defines a veteran as someone who served on active duty and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable, or has a qualifying condition and received a discharge other than bad conduct or dishonorable, or is a discharged LGBT veteran. The office shall promulgate rules and regulations necessary to implement this provision.
