This bill amends the education law to authorize registered pharmacy technicians to administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The licensed pharmacist must be present in the immediate area or immediately available at the same location where the immunization is being administered. The supervising pharmacist must approve all work performed by the registered pharmacy technician before dispensing any drug. The bill takes effect 60 days after becoming law.
