The lead pipe replacement act requires the replacement of all lead service lines by November 1, 2037. Covered water systems must establish a lead service line replacement program, offering to replace all portions of a lead service line at no direct charge to customers. The Department of Health is authorized to make funding available for implementing the provisions of this act. The act also includes provisions for prioritizing lead service line replacements in disadvantaged communities and at properties with elevated blood lead levels.
