This bill amends the public health law to allow consenting registrants in the adoption information registry to pre-authorize the release of their identifying information. The commissioner is required to create a pre-authorization consent form for this purpose. The identifying information released will be limited to names and addresses of the consenting registrants. The act takes effect 30 days after becoming law.
