This bill amends the retirement and social security law to authorize an optional twenty-five-year retirement plan for fire marshals I and supervisors in Suffolk county. Eligible members can retire upon completing twenty-five years of creditable service, receiving a pension equal to one-half of their final average salary. The benefit increases by one-sixtieth of the final average salary for each additional year of service beyond twenty-five years, up to a maximum of three-fourths of the final average salary.
