Establishes the district long-term care ombudsperson council program to coordinate volunteer ombudspersons in each assembly district.

The bill creates the district long-term care ombudsperson council program to coordinate volunteer ombudspersons in each assembly district. Each district council will consist of a trained district coordinator, a co-chair, a secretary, and eight or more residents serving as trained district advocates. The program aims to improve the quality of care and life for residents, protect their health and welfare, and resolve complaints. The state ombudsperson will develop a grievance process for reconsideration of decisions to refuse, suspend, or remove the designation of a local ombudsperson entity.
