Allows county comptrollers to audit projects and actions of industrial development agencies and not-for-profit corporations.
This bill amends the general municipal law to allow county comptrollers to conduct audits of projects and actions by industrial development agencies and not-for-profit corporations within their counties. In counties without a comptroller, the chief elected official must designate the budget or finance director to perform these audits. The audits cover not-for-profit corporations affiliated with, sponsored by, or created by county, city, town, or village governments.
