This bill amends the New York City Civil Court Act to create a specialized part of the court for actions and proceedings involving natural persons or small landlords. The court will consist of one housing part, two trial parts, and two resolution parts for every two million residents. Housing judges will be appointed to handle these cases. The Office of Court Administration will implement these provisions within 120 days of the bill's commencement.
