The "Big Five African Trophies Act" amends the environmental conservation law to prohibit the importation, transportation, and possession of parts or products of African Elephant, African Leopard, African Lion, Black Rhinoceros, White Rhinoceros, and African Giraffe. Exceptions include items possessed before the act's effective date, items for scientific or educational purposes, and items transferred to legal beneficiaries or heirs with a certificate of possession. Violators face fines and up to two years in prison.
