This bill amends the retirement and social security law to grant pension benefits to Nassau County fire marshals, supervising fire marshals, fire marshals, assistant fire marshals, assistant chief fire marshals, and chief fire marshals for service rendered beyond twenty-five years. The pension benefit is one-half of the final average salary upon completion of twenty-five years of creditable service, with an additional sixtieth for each year of creditable service in excess of twenty-five years.
