New York S03887 mandates that the city of New York expand the Fair Fares NYC program to include individuals eligible for the program and those with incomes up to three hundred percent of the federal poverty level. These individuals will receive a fifty percent discount on trips using the Long Island Rail Road, paratransit services, New York City transit subways or buses, and/or Metro-North railroad. The bill also requires the city to conduct a public outreach campaign to increase awareness and usage of the program.
