Waives registration fee and service charge for distinctive plates for volunteer firefighters and ambulance members attending 25% or more of emergency.

This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to waive the registration fee and service charge for distinctive plates for volunteer firefighters and members of volunteer ambulance services. The waiver applies if the applicant has attended twenty-five percent or more of the emergency calls for the previous year. The distinctive plates will be issued in the same manner as other number plates.
