This bill amends the education law to require certain graduate students in New York to pay 25% of all current and future mandatory university fees starting in the 2026-2027 academic year. After the 2027-2028 academic year, no mandatory university fees will be charged, except for the graduate student association student activity fee. The bill affects graduate students serving as teaching assistants, assistants, research assistants, research associates, or teaching associates at state universities, and graduate assistants, adjunct instructors, adjunct lecturers, adjunct college laboratory.
