Provides for apportionments to school districts under the shared superintendent program; makes an appropriation therefor.
Amends the education law to provide for apportionments to school districts participating in a shared superintendent program. The commissioner is authorized to provide an apportionment to each participating school district. The apportionment is based on the superintendent's annual salary, calculated as the lesser of the district's net cost or the median salary of all current full-time public school superintendents. The bill also appropriates one million dollars to the department of education for this purpose.
