New York S01739 amends the civil service law by adding a new section for longevity payments. Effective April 1 following the act's enactment, eligible state employees designated managerial or confidential who have completed seventeen or more years of continuous service and have a performance rating higher than "Below Minimum" will receive an annual payment of $1,850. These employees will also continue to receive both the twelve and seventeen-year performance awards of $1,500 each. The payments will be made annually on April 1.
