Establishes the "Sickle Cell Treatment Act" to designate sickle cell centers for excellence and outpatient treatment centers.

The Sickle Cell Treatment Act establishes sickle cell centers for excellence and outpatient treatment centers. The commissioner will designate five general hospitals or hospices north of Putnam and Orange counties as centers for sickle cell care excellence. These centers will receive funding for sickle cell disease research. Additionally, ten hospitals will be designated as sickle cell outpatient treatment centers, providing outpatient care for sickle cell disease and receiving annual funding.
