This bill amends the public health law to provide funding for abortion services and travel-related expenses for active duty members of the armed forces, their spouses, or dependents who are New York state residents. These services and expenses must be incurred when the individual is located in another state or a foreign country where such services could not legally be obtained and are not covered by any other insurance or the armed forces. The act takes effect 180 days after becoming law.
