Allows the president of the citywide council on high schools to participate in the selection of the board of education members elected by community.

The bill amends the education law to allow the president of the citywide council on high schools to participate in the selection of the members of the board of education elected by the community district education council presidents. The board of education will consist of twenty-four voting members, including one appointed by each borough president, five elected by community district education council presidents, and thirteen appointed by the mayor. The changes will take effect on July 1, 2027.
