New York S00593 amends the agriculture and markets law by adding two new paragraphs to section 301, subdivision 4. It includes land owned or rented as a farm operation for the production for sale of crops, livestock, or livestock products as land used in agricultural production. This includes land that is at least seven acres with an annual gross sales value of $5,000 or more, or less than seven acres with an annual gross sales value of $35,000 or more.
