The plates will bear the letters "DO" and the word "physician," include the Staff of Asclepius, and be formatted similarly to physician license plates issued to Medical Doctors. Doctors must apply with proof of their current registration certificate and be the sole registered owner of the vehicle. The plates will be issued upon payment of the regular registration fee and an additional annual service charge of $31.25.
