Authorizes the use of a confirmation of trafficking victim status issued by OTDA as evidence of identity for the issuance of a non-driver.
This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to allow a confirmation of trafficking victim status issued by the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) to be used as evidence of identity for the issuance of a non-driver identification card. The commissioner may determine the extent to which such confirmation satisfies the identification requirements established by the department. This act shall take effect immediately.
