This bill amends the public service law to set specific deadlines for rulings on motions, petitions, and rehearings in rate and non-rate cases. Administrative law judges must rule on motions within fifteen days after final responsive papers are submitted. For non-rate proceedings, administrative law judges, the secretary to the commission, or the commission must rule on motions within thirty days. The commission must rule on requests for interlocutory review within ten days, rehearings within forty-five days, and petitions for proceedings within thirty days.
