This bill authorizes the assessor of Nassau County to accept an application from the town of Hempstead for exemption from real property taxes for a parcel in West Hempstead. The exemption applies to the 2024-2025 school taxes and all of the 2025 and 2026 general taxes for the parcel located at 434 Hempstead Turnpike. If the application is accepted, it will be reviewed as if it had been submitted by the taxable status date. The act takes effect immediately.
