This bill authorizes the Congregation Atzei Chaim to receive retroactive real property tax exemption for the 2023 and 2024 assessment rolls and all of the 2023-2024 school taxes. The assessor of Rockland County can accept an application for this exemption if the organization would otherwise be entitled to it. If granted, the organization may receive a refund for any taxes already paid and any remaining taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or liens can be canceled.
