The Nassau Future Protectors Act amends the civil service law to provide additional credits to participants in the Nassau County law enforcement exploring program. Eligible persons who served as Nassau County law enforcement explorers for at least four years receive five additional points, while those who served less than four years receive two additional points. These credits are added to the final earned rating after qualifying in the competitive examination and are granted at the time of establishing the resulting eligible list.
