Authorizes the council on the arts to designate the Bedford Stuyvesant Cultural Arts District.

This bill amends the arts and cultural affairs law to authorize the council on the arts to designate the Bedford Stuyvesant Cultural Arts District. The Bedford Stuyvesant Cultural Arts District is bounded by Atlantic Avenue to the South, Flushing Avenue to the North, Nostrand Avenue to the West, and Ralph Avenue to the East. The council may also designate additional regions of cultural significance at its discretion, provided they are compact, contiguous, and have an identifiable cultural heritage.
