Enacts the "small business health plan act" to exempt small business health insurance from certain requirements.
The "small business health plan act" allows insurers to offer individual and/or small group accident and health insurance policies to small business owners and employees without certain coverage requirements. This act amends the insurance law to exempt such policies from specific provisions. The term "small business" is defined in section one hundred thirty-one of the economic development law.
