The "responsible neighborhood preservation act" mandates that licensed premises in New York, which require law enforcement intervention on more than three occasions in a single month, must adjust their closing hours to no later than midnight. This adjustment applies for a period of at least six months. The state liquor authority is tasked with creating rules and regulations for enforcing this act, including processes for documenting law enforcement responses and appeals by the licensed premises.
