The parkland, located in Queens, will be used to enable the New York City Transit Authority to construct a new permanent at-grade and subsurface signal tower facility and track crossover. The authorization is subject to the city dedicating an amount equal to or greater than the fair market value of the parklands towards the acquisition of new parklands and/or capital improvements to existing parklands and recreational facilities within Queens.
