Authorizes transfer of memberships for certain NY state and local police and fire retirees back to the NY state and local employees' retirement.

This bill allows certain members of the New York state and local police and fire retirement system who previously held a membership with the New York state and local employees' retirement system to retroactively transfer their membership back to the latter system. The transfer is subject to certain conditions and does not apply to section 25 of the retirement and social security law. The act takes effect immediately.
