The bill directs the department of health to establish an alternative payment methodology for federally qualified health centers to preserve and improve patient access to fertility care. The payments will be in addition to any payments made under the prospective payment system or any other alternative payment methodology. The payments will be up to $700,000 annually, exclusive of any federal matching funds, and will cover the difference between the amount paid for eligible injectable fertility drugs and the amount based on average wholesale acquisition cost.
