Authorizes sheriffs in certain counties to appoint school resource officers to private schools.

This bill amends the county law to allow sheriffs in counties outside cities with a population of one million or more to appoint school resource officers to private elementary and secondary schools. The sheriff can only make such appointments if the county legislature or board of supervisors has authorized it and if the school is located within the sheriff's jurisdiction. The school must also request the appointment. The sheriff may charge a fee of up to fifty dollars per year per officer and can revoke appointments for non-compliance or other disqualifying reasons.
