Authorizes the governor to deploy non-state resource providers to the northern and international emergency management assistance compacts.
This bill amends the executive law to authorize the governor to deploy non-state resource providers to the northern emergency management assistance compact and the international emergency management assistance compact. The state may enter these compacts through the governor's certification to the temporary president of the senate, the speaker of the assembly, and the secretary of state. Non-state resource providers will be deemed agents of the state for deployment purposes and will be entitled to the rights and benefits provided by the compacts.
