This bill amends the education law to change the reimbursement rate for charter school facilities expansion in city school districts located in cities with a population of one million or more inhabitants. It replaces "actual rental costs" with "reasonable rental costs" for determining the reimbursement rate. "Reasonable rental costs" are defined as rental costs that are reasonable, appropriate, and comparable to the rental costs of facilities at a similar location, of a comparable quality, condition, and size, not to exceed the actual rental cost incurred by the charter school.
