New York A10431 introduces a $25 annual supplemental motor vehicle registration fee for counties outside the Metropolitan Commuter Transportation District. This fee applies to the registration or renewal of motor vehicles. The collected revenue is dedicated to upstate public transportation systems. The fee is calculated at a rate of twenty-five dollars per annum for each year or portion of a year that the registration is valid. The commissioner shall deposit daily all funds collected with designated banks, in trust for credit of the public transportation systems operating assistance account.
