New York A10392 amends the administrative code to provide longevity bonuses for New York City firefighters with at least 25 years of service. Firefighters retiring with 25 years of service will receive a 5% increase in their pension benefits. For each additional year of service beyond 25 years, an additional 1% increase will be applied, up to a maximum of 15%. The increase is calculated based on the highest grade of pay under the applicable collective bargaining agreement of the rank in which the firefighter retires.
