Authorizes a death benefit option for the beneficiary of deceased justice Jerry Garguilo, a justice of the unified court system.

This bill allows Angela Garguilo, the beneficiary of deceased justice Jerry Garguilo, to choose between receiving a lump sum equal to the pension reserve that would have been established if justice Jerry Garguilo had retired on the date of their death or the value of the death benefit and the reserve-for-increased-take-home-pay. If the beneficiary is required to make an election before the enactment of this legislation, the pension reserve will be awarded minus any death benefit previously paid.
