Provides an optional twenty-five year retirement plan for certain airport firefighters employed by a county or municipality.

This bill amends the retirement and social security law to introduce an optional twenty-five-year retirement plan for airport firefighters employed by a county or municipality. Eligible firefighters can retire after completing twenty-five years of service, receiving a pension equal to one-half of their final average salary. For service beyond twenty-five years, the pension increases by one-sixtieth of the final average salary for each additional year of service, up to a maximum of three-fourths of the final average salary.
