Prohibits establishment of new for-profit hospices and increasing capacity of existing for-profit hospices in New York.

This bill amends the public health law to prohibit the establishment, incorporation, or construction of any hospice that is to be operated on a for-profit basis or by a for-profit entity. It also prohibits any increase in capacity for existing hospices operated on a for-profit basis. This prohibition applies to any approval on or after the effective date of the act.
