Enacts the "Jamie Rose care provider act" to require health care facilities to have policies for suspected victims of domestic abuse.

The "Jamie Rose care provider act" mandates that health care facilities develop, maintain, and disseminate written policies and procedures for identifying, assessing, treating, and referring confirmed or suspected cases of domestic violence. Facilities must also establish a training program for clinical personnel and advise victims of available services from domestic violence or victim assistance organizations. The commissioner of health will consult with relevant organizations to develop a model policy for facilities to follow.
