The bill establishes a master of social work paid field practicum pilot program to provide stipends to students enrolled in a master of social work program for the first 450 hours of field practicum completed towards their master's degree. Eligible students receive a stipend of $4,500, distributed monthly, until they complete the required hours or the end of the spring semester in 2028, whichever occurs first. Students receiving funding from other sources of $4,500 or more are ineligible. Those receiving less than $4,500 are eligible for the difference.
