Authorizes the Babylon assessor to accept a tax exemption application from Christian Congregation of Long Island for 2023-2024 assessment rolls.

This bill authorizes the assessor of the town of Babylon to accept an application for exemption from real property taxes from Christian Congregation of Long Island for the 2023-2024 assessment rolls. If accepted, the application will be reviewed as if it had been received on time. If the assessor determines the organization is entitled to the exemption, they may grant it, subject to approval by the Babylon town board. If the exemption is granted and taxes have already been paid, the governing body or tax department may refund the taxes, fines, penalties, and interest.
