Directs the department of public health to annually report on food security trends.
The bill amends the public health law to require the department of public health to include in its annual participation in the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System the 2024 U.S. Household Food Security Survey Module: Six-Item Short Form Economic Research Service, developed by the United States department of agriculture. The department must then publicly report annually the results of this survey module broken down to the county level on its public website.
