This bill authorizes Powell House in the village of Farmingdale, Nassau County, to apply for and receive a retroactive property tax exemption for the 2024-2025 school tax assessment rolls and the 2025 general tax assessment roll. If the Nassau County assessor approves the application and the Nassau County legislature concurs, the assessor may correct the tax rolls accordingly. If the exemption is granted, Powell House may be refunded for any taxes paid and any remaining fines, penalties, liens, or interest may be canceled.
