The bill amends the New York state urban development corporation act to establish a procedure for appointing a president or chairperson upon a vacancy of such position. The governor, with the advice and consent of the senate, appoints a successor to serve for the balance of the unexpired term. The governor may also designate an acting president or chairperson for a period not exceeding six months or until a successor has been confirmed by the senate, whichever comes first.
