New York A08525 amends the Ridge volunteer exempt firefighter's benevolent association to collect and receive foreign fire insurance premium taxes. The taxes, imposed under section 9104 of the insurance law, will be used for the care and relief of disabled or indigent volunteer and exempt firefighters and their families. The changes will apply to taxes due on premiums received on or after January 1, 2027.
