Authorizes state university police, regional state park police, and detective investigators for the attorney general to receive additional service.
This bill amends the Retirement and Social Security Law to allow state university police, regional state park police, and detective investigators for the attorney general to receive additional service credit in an optional twenty-year retirement plan. Members must complete twenty years of service and make a payment equal to three percent of their most recent compensation per year of service credit. The cost will be shared by the state and local participating employers in the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System.
