This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to allow vehicles or combinations of vehicles powered primarily by natural gas, propane, hydrogen, or electric battery to exceed certain weight limits by up to 2,000 pounds. This exception does not permit vehicles to exceed any posted capacity on a highway or structure. The changes take effect immediately upon enactment.
