New York Assembly Bill A07360 amends the retirement and social security law to authorize a thirty-year retirement benefit for certain Nassau County correction officers. This bill provides a retirement allowance equal to 60 percent of a member's final average salary for those who retire after completing thirty years of service. For those who retire after twenty-five years of service, the allowance is set at 50 percent of the final average salary. The bill also specifies that full credit will be given for service in time of war after World War I.
